시놉시스
그리스 신화의 캐릭터에서 영감을 얻은 이 작품은 태양에 너무 가깝게 날아 날개에 불이 붙은 청년 이카루스의 눈을 빌려 이야기를 전개한다. 관객은 그의 어린 시절 기억을 통해 아버지 다이달로스와의 대화를 듣는다. 이 작품은 2014년에 Michel Lemieux와 Victor Pilon에 의해 제작된 동명의 종합연극(multidisciplinary stage play)을 기반으로 한다.

관객인 나는 스스로 '이카루스'라는 정체성은 어느정도 인식하고 있지만 뚜렷한 현존감 대신 어린 시절의 기억을 바라보는 입장에 서 있다. 하지만 새의 날개로 변한 내 두 팔을 깨닫고, 나도 모르게 팔을 위아래로 퍼덕이기 시작하면, 정말 이카루스가 되어 하늘로 날아오르고 있다고 믿게 된다. 태양으로 빨려 들어가듯 솟아오르는 순간 전율이 느껴지며, 나의 인터랙션과 이야기 속 정체성은 강렬히 일치 된다. 아름답지만 비극적인 추락의 순간, 한없이 높은 하늘과 한없이 광활한 바다를 느껴보시라.
