Immersive Criminology Ep1: LOST

Synopsis

Watching closely an exquisite marionette play and interact with the puppet in the story. A girl is lost, and you will be helping her to find her way home and learn what happened to her. The user will be the first and only person experiencing the story. Arriving on the last night, you realize the story of the little girl and feel really being part of the play, on an empty stage.

Biography

YiChun Kao is an animation director and screenwriter. He made his debut with short film, Pick a Future (2010), which won the Best Award of Student Film in Taiwan Golden Harvest Awards. The Abandoned Deity (2019) is his first animated VR film has been selected for the 2021 Cannes XR, Animafest Zagreb, 2020 SIGGRAPH VR Theater. The first episode of Immersive Criminology, LOST, was selected to showcase at IFFM CineMart // Immersive Funding Market by VRDays 2020. Later in the same year, the development of Immersive Criminology including the first episode, LOST, received a production grant from Taiwan Creative Content Agency, and the 2nd episode of Immersive Criminology, Baby Frog, has been selected to showcase at Mifa Pitches by Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2021.
