Biography
YiChun Kao is an animation director and screenwriter. He made his debut with short film, Pick a Future (2010), which won the Best Award of Student Film in Taiwan Golden Harvest Awards. The Abandoned Deity (2019) is his first animated VR film has been selected for the 2021 Cannes XR, Animafest Zagreb, 2020 SIGGRAPH VR Theater.
The first episode of Immersive Criminology, LOST, was selected to showcase at IFFM CineMart // Immersive Funding Market by VRDays 2020. Later in the same year, the development of Immersive Criminology including the first episode, LOST, received a production grant from Taiwan Creative Content Agency, and the 2nd episode of Immersive Criminology, Baby Frog, has been selected to showcase at Mifa Pitches by Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2021.
