Cinematic Screening: There is No Poverty at the End of Labor

Synopsis

This is an interactive VR work that recreates the Korean silent film “No Poverty at the End of Work” (1920). Participants can enjoy a personal and shared experience at the same time in a world where the 1920s and the present are combined, as an avatar. In the restored Dan Sung Sa Theater, virtual humans perform an immersive performance by replacing the roles of musicians and narrators. This work is based on the accompaniment music developed in collaboration with an AI composer who understands the scenes and narratives of the film.”
