Explore a world beyond the bounds of our human perception. A world full of mystery, beauty and darkness. Let yourself be taken on a trip into the woven nature of existence.
STRANDS OF MIND is cinematic VR, aimed to give the viewer a strongly immersive and emotional audio-visual experience. It explores a world beyond the bounds of our filtered human perception. Leading the viewer into mysterious and magical places, alien but yet somehow familiar. From the luminous pulse of life, through cavernous, hostile darkness, into the woven nature of existence.
The aim was to bring three different worlds together, to create something intense and not seen before: high quality Visual Effects with unlimited complexity, immersive Virtual Reality and the realm of magical, psychedelic journeys.
The film was created fully digital in stereoscopic 4K at 60fps with immersive spatial audio. It is conceptualized to be viewed on high quality VR Head Mounted Displays like Oculus Rift/Quest/Go, HTC Vive and similar

Biography

Adrian MEYER is a multidisciplinary Digital Artist and Filmmaker from Germany. His work is focused on moving images to inspire, and spark emotional experiences; often using a surreal and dark visual language. Initially working in the field of Audiovisual Installations and Stage Visuals, he also has a broad background in Visual Effects. He has worked on international motion pictures and commercials in Berlin and London. Adrian graduated in Computer Animation & Visual Effects at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. His work was internationally screened at Annecy Animation Festival, Siggraph Electronic Theatre and many more, and received multiple nominations such as the Visual Effects Society Student Award.
