Biography
Francis Gélinas is a graduate of the School of Digital Arts, Animation and Design (NAD - UQAC) in video game design, the Collège de Maisonneuve in multimedia integration techniques, and Concordia’s Fine Arts program, with a major in film animation. He has worked in film and animation for over 14 years. First as an animator, and then as artistic director and producer with Moment Factory, alongside which he founded his own company (couleur.tv) in 2006. He experiments with animation in all its forms: stop motion, 2D and 3D animation, and scenic projections. He has produced animated web series, projection events in amusement parks, and worked on countless commercial projects for clients such as: Igloofest, Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec, Coca Cola, the NFB, Felix & Paul studios, Moment Factory, Ubisoft, Sid Lee, 4U2C, to name a few. His first personal film (The Story of the Mean Dragon) toured to festivals around the world and won the Audience Award at the Fantasia festival
