Biography
Director Ark Park majored in Film Directing and Multimedia Art at the Korea National University of Arts. He is an artist based in Seoul, known for his unique humor grounded in irony, absurdity, sarcasm, and cynicism. He is active primarily in New York, Paris, and Berlin.
His first VR immersive performance, "Janggu in the Club, Objects in the Club," won the Grand Prize at the 1st Korean Metaverse Competition. Following that, he directed the VR immersive performance "Ballet Metanique," which was invited to the 2022 ARS FESTIVAL. He enjoys listening to Kim Duk-soo's music and Ji Young-hee's pansori, and his works encompass various meanings.
