Alex RUHL

Biography

Alex Rühl, born 1990 in Leicester UK, is a virtual reality creator and founder of CATS are not PEAS, a production company specialising in narrative-based VR works across multiple sectors. Since starting her career in VR she’s received industry recognition winning multiple awards (The Drum’s 50 under 30, Women of the Future Awards, Pioneers of XR Award). Her previous works include writing/producing 360 romcom Keyed Alike (2017, starring Gemma Whelan and Natacha Karam) and exec producing interactive VR thought-experiment Playing God (Cannes XR, 2019). Rock Paper Scissors is her official directoral debut and is the first virtual reality project funded by the BFI Network.
