KANG Minji

Biography

Minji Kang is a South Korean director/writer known for her award-winning political thriller short film, THE LOYALIST. Endorsed by Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, her debut feature project in development ILLICIT was chosen for the Fantastic 7 of the 2020 Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes. It was also presented at the 2021 Berlinale Talents Tokyo. She is a fellow of BIFAN NAFF Fantastic Film School and an alumna of IFBA at Busan Asian Film School (AFiS). She received her BFA from the School of Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and holds her MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University in New York.
